BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE PARTNERS, PROFESSIONAL AND SUPPORT STAFF


To familiarize the Company with the partners and other professional staff with our firm, hereinafter is a brief overview of each partner, professional and Candidate Legal Practitioners.


MR KÖPPLINGER (FRANK)
- BA (LAW), LLM (STELL)

Mr. Köpplinger is the senior partner and a recognised specialist in the field of labour law and all the ancillary fields of law thereto. He has commercial law experience, as well as civil law experience. He has been an admitted attorney for over 10 years. Mr. Köpplinger is a member of the Labour Court Rules Board which consists of several Legal Practitioners and a Judge. This board inter alia contributed to the wording of the new Labour Court Rules.
Mr. Köpplinger serves as the Chairman of the Labour Law Committee of the Namibian Employers Federation and previously served as the Chairman of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee.
Mr. Köpplinger has for the past ten (10) years been assisting various financial service providers in various labour, civil litigation (both High and Supreme Court), commercial matters which service was rendered by him not only as founding partner of GF Köpplinger Legal Practitioners (since 2006) but also as a partner of the previous law firm Lorentz & Bone (prior to 2006). He is a court-accredited mediator. Mr Köpplinger is married with two wonderful children and he enjoys cycling, good music and wine.

MR JACO BOLTMAN
- LLB (STELL)

Mr. Boltman has been an admitted attorney as from June 2008 and is a junior partner at the firm. Mr. Boltman has extensive experience in the field of labour law, civil litigation, commercial law (with sound reference in the drafting of commercial contracts), civil litigation and some criminal law experience. 
Mr Boltman served as the chairperson of the Labour Law Committee of the Law Society of Namibia for two consecutive terms. 
Mr Boltman is exceptionally well vested with all labour tribunals and court experience and he has recently contributed to the Namibia Law Journal when he wrote an article on Conciliation and Arbitration Proceedings. The article can be accessed at Namibia Law Journal, Volume 6 – Issue 2, December 2014: “Conciliation and arbitration proceedings: Separating the different dispute resolution mechanisms – A critical analysis of case law.” 
Mr Boltman often provides training to client employees on all aspects of Industrial relations, including disciplinary actions, grievance procedures and company policy implementation. 
Mr Boltman has served on the boards of Namibian institutions (both corporate and public) and have considerable experience in this sphere. Mr Boltman is also admitted and have right of appearance in the Supreme Court of Namibia. He is also married with two children, does cycling and have a particular good eye for detail.

Mr. Köpplinger and Mr. Boltman studied at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Mr. Köpplinger did his LLM (Masters) in Labour Law, South African and European constitutional law and Human Rights. His thesis was done in Labour Law.  

MR WILLEM VAN GREUNEN
- LLB (North West University of South Africa

Having recently completed his LLB degree at North West University of South Africa, Willem van Greunen has been with the firm since December 2015. Mr van Greunen commenced his legal career as a legal intern at Metropolitan Namibia, now known as MMI Holdings, where he gained experience in insurance law and legal compliance. 
Thereafter he took-up employment as a candidate legal practitioner at Francois Erasmus & Partners, during which time he gained experience in legal drafting, legal research and civil process. Before practicing at Köpplinger Boltman, Mr van Greunen practiced at Sauls & Co Law Chambers during which time he was admitted as a legal practitioner in the High Court of Namibia. He gained a considerable amount of exposure in various legal disciplines such as contract law, commercial law, corporate governance, civil litigation, debt collection, wills and estates, labour and administrative law to mention some.

STAFF MEMBERS
